Jonny Boyo: So what's your plan for the weekend now the Parade's off, are you gonna be in Newcastle still?
Erick Morillo: Actually I got approached by Radio 1 today that they still want to broadcast the 3 hour live mix event at the Telewest Arena, so I might still be going up there to play 1/2 hour at the event.
Daniel Cottrell: As a New Yorker who now lives in London, how do you find English House music different to American, and is it better or worse please?
Erick Morillo: I think it's the healthiest dance scene in the world. After thinking that New York was so cool, it was wonderful to find England, and for it to find me.
Paul: Where has been the most glamorous location you've DJ'ed?
Erick Morillo: A party for MTV in Cannes 2 years ago at a music festival. It was on the beach and they'd built this tent and it was quite posh!!
David Rose: Erick what's it like working with Darren Emerson?
Erick Morillo: It's like playing with your little brother. He has a great spirit and I love spending time with him.
Russell Greer: How is the Subliminal night at Pacha doing so far? I'm in Ibiza very shortly and would like to go!
Erick Morillo: It has been incredible - the turnout has been unbelievable and we've all be taken aback by the support of everyone. The best thing is the mixture of people. The greatest compliment is that we have the best music on the island in the summer.
Will Smith: Is there to be an Erick Morillo reply to the Roger Sanchez number one chart hit in the UK?
Erick Morillo: I think it's wonderful. He's been working on his albums for 3 years, and finally going to No.1 is great for him, the industry and dance music as a whole. If something I do happens to go to No.1, then wonderful!
Da boss: Where would you recommend to go clubbing in New York?
Erick Morillo: Centro Fly!
Ilford Massif: What do you prefer about music in the US?
Erick Morillo: At the moment I have to say that the US is really far behind and we're finally just getting the whole DJ and club culture, so it has a way to go before I start to be proud of US club music.
Bobbyb: When are you releasing your next Subliminal Sessions on CD?
Erick Morillo: We are currently working on the second one, mixed by Harry Choo Choo, out in January.
Jim S: What's your favourite track at the moment?
Erick Morillo: The new Thick Dick - 'Orgasm' On Sondos Records! Also the Mr DJ track - 'Always' - the original mix!
Gaz: Is it true you are hung like Red Rum?
Erick Morillo: No actually, I'm not hung like anything! It's not the size - it's the motion in the ocean, baby!
Robbie: What's the best rumour you've ever heard about yourself?
Erick Morillo: That I was dating Madonna! That was a good one!
Mo: Do you have a top bachelor pad with mirrors on the ceiling, crushed velvet everywhere and a Mike Baldwin styled corner bath in your bathroom?
Erick Morillo: I have nothing of the sort! People will be disappointed to know that because I travel so much I have a couch, a bed and a big screen TV, and that's about it. I have room if anyone wants to give me gifts!
Kilro: Are you a fan of Phil Collins?
Erick Morillo: Absolutely! I preferred it when he was with Genesis. My first experience of Phil Collins was in the 80's, rolling a spliff and listening to his 'In The Air Tonight'. I think he's a great musician.
Emma Gates: Who were your first musical heroes?
Erick Morillo: Todd Terry, Bob Marley, Diana Ross, Donna Summers. These really got me into listening to music twenty four hours a day, and into the music I'm into today.
Kaye: What would be your favourite tracks of all time?
Erick Morillo: There's too many! Some of the ones that stick out are 'Upside Down' by Diana Ross, Bob Marley - all of them! Frank Sinatra...too many to mention!!
Ritz: What made you start promoting your own events?
Erick Morillo: For me it's about creating a night which is about the party and the music, it's not about trying to be the biggest brand in the world. Erick Morillo night in the long term isn't really accomplishing anything!
Bal X: What do you think about the closure of Twilo?
Erick Morillo: I think it's sad that Juliani has set out to turn New York into Disney World. It's unfortunate for dance music that this club has shut down because it has been responsible for introducing British music to America.
Ilford Massif: What do you think about the up and coming UK garage scene?
Erick Morillo: I think it's great in the UK a lot of music scenes develop as they do. I don't get a chance to listen to a lot of UK Garage, but I've heard remixes people like MJ Cole have done and I think they're wicked.
