One Live In London
The Dreem Teem @ Hammersmith Po Na Na

A packed out Po Na Na's! On Thursday April 12th, we arrived at Po Na Na's in Hammersmith (formerly the Palais) to be faced with an impatient crowd and some stony faced bouncers who told us that the club was full to capacity and that they were letting
no-one in!

It seems that everybody wanted to come down and see the Dreem Teem to kick off the long Easter weekend! Eventually we got inside to see the Heartless Crew onstage, a live PA
from K Warren and of course our very own Dreem Boys on the decks...

Mikee B & MC Rankin

How come you chose Po Na Na's for this gig?
Mikee: This is actually a venue that the Dreem Teem have been playing for a couple of years now. We used to have night here that was every Thursday, so we've built a foundation here. We've now got the 'Shake It Up Boys' to take over 'cos we haven't got time to promote it and give out flyers, so they've taken over the promotions. You can see for yourself, it's a great success. Because of the amount of people outside and it's now quarter past one... It's packed to the rafters and it's packed outside, so this is an ideal venue for One Live In London.

Mikee B and Rankin - raring to go! Rankin: It's madness here! I've got my family outside trying to get in but they're not letting anyone in! They're not letting anyone in the VIP bit where we're working - they're not even letting me in there! It's so busy here, but it's really good - a wicked atmosphere. The booze is running, there's ladies and there's guys and it's all mixing well.

Why did you choose the Heartless Crew to be on the show?
Mikee: They did one of our Dreem Teem Presents shows, but last time they did it they only did about 20 minutes live. So they haven't actually done an hour's mix yet, and this is a way to get an hour out of them! They're usually on our bill anyway, same as Artful Dodger, Luck and Neat, E Z, Jason Kaye, that's our kind of roster...

Rankin: I love the Heartless Crew! They get the crowd going so much; they're wicked.

What about K Warren?
Mikee: Oh yeah, me and Kevin go back a long way. Even before he did 'Calling Fate', we've known him for about 3 years and supported him all the way through...

Rankin: Yeah, he's doing a P.A with Lee-O - 'Coming Home'. That's another big tune that's blowing up at the moment. So the night's gonna get even better!!

Get down...Where's the best place in London for a Sunday lunch?
Mikee: You know what? I actually don't go out to eat on a Sunday, 'cos I live on my own and I'm a bit old to be going round to my mum's and scrounging Sunday lunch so usually I just suffer it! I only really eat out at some West Indian restaurants... I'll go round my mates if I have one - Timmi's the one for that actually! He's always having Sunday lunch in Islington. I usually starve on a Sunday.

Rankin: Best place to go for Sunday lunch in London? I'd say my house!

Are you a good cook?
Rankin: No, but my girlfriend is! She cooks a nice Sunday lunch. Otherwise I'd say my mum's house or maybe Spoony's house 'cos he likes to do cooking, that's a good bet on a Sunday... and if you can't get in there I can't really help you!

What are your favourite clubs in London?
Mikee: 'True' @ Hanover Grand on a Saturday. I'm not saying that 'cos we're residents there! It's a party atmosphere and it's a mixture of music like R&B and Garage. It's been packed since it started, it's really a lovely, wicked party night and I'd recommend it!

Rankin: I'd say this is one of them - 'Shake It Up'. You've got 'Sweet Harmony' at Eros, 'True' at Hanover Grand, those are all good garage nights.
