Dance Anthems at the Hanover Grand

the lovely Dave PearceWith an impressive line up of names including Radio 1's latest DJ signing Fergie and of course Dave Pearce himself - Sunday night at the Hanover Grand was the hottest ticket in town. The club itself is situated just off Regent Street - and close to Oxford Street - and is as suitably glamourous as you would imagine. With the venue looking incredible and with a real sense of excitement in the air Dave Pearce's Dance Anthems sounded amazing.

please let me be your fantasyFirst up after the Official UK Top 40 with Scott Mills was Dave Pearce who was playing his usual banging sounds. As ever Dave wowed the crowd with his set and prepared them with what was to follow. The first guest of the night was none other than Baby D of 'Let Me Be Your Fantasy' fame. The song originally released in 1992 became a massive hit in 1994 - reaching no.1. Since then there has been an updated version which tonight's was based on.

d'you know i'd like to be U?Next up was more Dave after Baby D. Then came the excellent Chocolate Puma and their performance of their massive 'I Wanna Be U' hit - the performance was every bit as exciting and edgy as the track. The crowd went mad.

hey MR DJ... One of the most exciting points of the evening came when Fergie took to the stage. By now the crowd had been worked up to something close to a frenzy and Fergie was just the man to take them to the next level. The scene was mayhem; Fergie's thumping hard house put everyone up there.

dave 'n' ferg After Dave handed over the decks to Fergie I went into the crowd and asked them some things about what London meant to them - and apologies right now for the obsenities which I can't publish; although hilarious we just can't go there...
