Buick 6

Buick 6 were formed in Birmingham, England in the latter part of 1999. They are Craig Hamilton and J Bill Summerfield, both on guitar, harmonica and vocals, Anna Russell on piano, hammond organ, guitar and percussion and Jez Ince on bass, mandolin and vocals. They have recently been joined by ex Novak drummer Phil Robinson. The band's acoustic shows and recordings are both heavily influenced by alternative country and Bluegrass artists such as The Carter Family, Gillian Welch and Laura Cantrell.

Their debut single 'Genuine Parts' released on their own Winnebago label, will be followed by 'Get Real', their contribution to 'The Songmakers Project', a compilation on Nesta Records in aid of the Homeless charity Shelter. The band will be playing a short acoustic set at the albums launch party at London's 12 Bar Club on Friday 15th February. In addition the band are currently working on a mini album featuring many of the songs from their acoustic set. Provisionally titled, "Me Versus The Tiny Nail" it's due for release in the next couple of months.

Buick 6 are currently confirmed to play the follow dates;

Friday 22nd February at the Flapper & Firkin in Birmingham
Wednesday 27th February at the Borderline in London
Saturday 23rd March at the Lomax in Liverpool
Sunday 24th March at Ronnie Scotts in Birmingham
