Line Up/Details: Thursday 12th October, between 6pm-7pm, two local bands invade the fiction section of Bolton Central Library. 10 piece Ska punkers Minions of Jeffrey should get the Mills and Boon readers skankin' amongst the shelves, with acoustic renditions of their brass led anthems. Then Pancho Ballard and The Banditos, a dastardly band of Mexican freedom fighters, will be staring down the dirty, steenkin' Western readers with their mission to save the world from heavy metal, indie, punk and acoustic pop. Should be different to say the least!

Sheila will present the winners with the trophy at the Picket later in the evening. Money raised from the competition will be donated to the 'Bring Him Home Campaign' for the imprisoned Liverpool teenager Michael Shields. Pete Wylie and the Mighty Wah, and special guests will perform at Picket later in the evening. 8pm start, tickets £8.00.
