Greg James presents Radio 1's Early Breakfast show, Monday to Friday, 4 - 6.30am.

Greg was born on 17th December 1985.

He recently finished his third year studying Drama at The University of East Anglia and was quickly snapped up to cover for JK and Joel on the station and for Sara Cox's weekend show after spending a month on the Early Breakfast Friday morning slot. His first ever show was broadcast on 1st June 2007, the day after he graduated.

After pestering his local hospital radio station at the tender age of 14, he was eventually given a show out of pity, only later to find out that the transmitter was broken and his shows were never broadcast.

Greg picked up the ‘Best Male Presenter’ award at the Student Radio Awards in 2005 for his work on UEA’s student station, Livewire. Following his award he also presented many cover shows across the Galaxy network.

Greg has recently appeared in an episode of Eastenders which made his nan very proud, at least. He was the DJ in the Queen Vic.

Greg started presenting the Radio 1 Early Breakfast show in October 2007 which is broadcast from 4-6:30am every morning.
