Glastonbury 2004.
Muse's amusing Glasto past
Last updated: 28 June 2004

MuseMuse headlined the Pyramid Stage last night (Sunday) - the biggest gig of their lives and definitely one of the best.

Matt from the band was quite nervous and when we spoke to him he couldn't make up his mind whether he was a Glasto virgin or veteran:

"I feel like a virgin today, but I've got a feeling I'm a veteran - that's the problem! But then again that's a nice feeling - 'like a virgin' - as Madonna would say!"

"We used to go hang around the green fields and play guitar and hit bongos and hang around a bunch of hippies. I used to have long hair! I don't know what happened - somewhere I became clean!"

"When we first started we were those kind of kids who used to wear German war jackets and DMs. I'm not sure what happened - something to do with record deals and success!" he giggled.
