Police at Glastonbury say they're 'staggered' by the drop in crime at the festival, with figures down nearly a half on last year.

205 incidents were reported by 8am on Sunday compared with 353 by the same time in 2003's event.

A man who died at the festival on Saturday morning has been named by police as 24 year-old Neil Clinning from Cleveleys, Lancashire.

Two Swindon women, aged 29 and 30, who were arrested in connection with the incident, have been released on bail.

His death isn't being treated as suspicious - police say it's believed to be drug-related.

Muddy revellers at Glastonbury

The festival's founder Michael Eavis has been reacting to Glasto organiser Melvin Benn's plan to ask the council if the capacity of the festival could be raised by 25,000 - 30,000 people next year:

"I don't know about that - I see Melvin's made a request for a few more. So many people want to come, you can't satisfy two-and-a-half million."

"Will an extra 25,000 help? It's Melvin's idea to think he can do any more. I'll have to think about that."

"When I see long queues for the loos, I wonder whether we can cope with any more or not... the beauty of it is that I have the last word!"
