The festival organisers are charging a green levy of £5 per car parked on the site as the amount of traffic created by the event has a large impact on the local community.
Glastonbury have teamed up with liftshare.com to make it easier to share car spaces and travel costs.

London: M3 then A303 and A37
North East: A1 or M1, M25 to M3 (Junction 12), then A303 and A37
National Express will be running services from all over the country direct to Glastonbury Festival bus station.
Badgerline are laying on linked services from Bath & Bristol, as well as a regular service from Glastonbury and Shepton Mallet direct to the site
There is a bus station in the festival site. This makes it by far the easiest method of travel and means you don't have to walk very far.
YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO BOARD ANY BUS HEADING FOR THE GLASTONBURY SITE WITHOUT A TICKET TO THE FESTIVAL
Travelling By Train
The nearest train station to Worthy Farm is Castle Cary and is on the main line between London and Plymouth served by First Great-Western. There are also connections from Reading.
Wessex Trains are also run to other destinations including Bristol.
Festival ticket holders will be able to take the FREE shuttle bus from Castle Cary to the Festival bus station. This runs from Wednesday (25 June) morning to Monday (30 June) evening.
