Glastonbury Tales

Glastonbury TalesName: Luke
Age: 23
From: Bristol

"...this will be my first weekend release for two years."

About me: "Hi my name's Luke, I work in a tiny office and only occasionally get let out, this will be my first weekend release for two years."

Survival Tips: Pear Cider, Suncream! Chips and beans.

Best Glastonbury moment: Singing 'Everybody Hurts' with REM and thousands of festival revellers. You just had to be there.

Worst Glastonbury moment: Running out of Vodka by Friday morning.

Orbital
Must see band at Glastonbury 2002: Orbital - wicked laser show, and Rolf Harris doing his stuff.

Glastonbury Tale: After a heavy afternoon drinking session on the side of the hill overlooking the main stage, my mate Alex rolled over onto some handily placed joss sticks when he was in a drunken mess and nearly burnt half his face off!

Got a better Glasto tale?

Glastonbury TalesName: Jackie Annett
Age: 25
From: London

"I thought I could see acrobats swinging out of trees and weird lights in the distance."

About me: "I've only been to Glastonbury once before but after my visit I swore I was going to be a hippy and live in a field. I love my dance music and will be spending most of my time in the dance tent.

Survival Tips: Wet wipes - a must! Toilet roll - another must and remember where you put your tent.

Best Glastonbury Moment: Sunset!

Worst Glastonbury Moment: My friend got way too trashed, got really paranoid and didn't want anyone near her - except for me. So I had to look after her 'til she calmed down - it was very scary.

Groove Armada

Must see band at Glastonbury 2002: Groove Armada.

Glastonbury Tale: I was chilling, looking into the distance when I saw a surreal vision. I thought I could see acrobats swinging out of trees and weird lights in the distance. I thought I was hallucinating - (never mind the drugs, you can hallucinate after three days of no sleep!). I mentioned to my friend Cath that it was time to call it a day but when I told her why she burst out laughing and said that she'd seen the same thing and had thought she was hallucinating too. Then we asked a guy called Simon - and yes he'd seen it and had thought he'd been hallucinating too!

Got a better Glasto tale?!
