Friday at Glastonbury

Will Paul McCartney show? Will Oasis show? Will Macy Gray show? These were the questions everyone was asking on the first day of this year's Glastonbury Festival. What we do know for sure is that Macy's here, but what about the others? We'll let you know as soon as we do!

At the moment we're trying to protect our Radio 1 DJs from being dragged into questionable activities in the fields. Not that we're implying anything untoward, it's just that John Peel's hands have turned orange after a random encounter with some Glasto 'artists', and he's been going on about having sent President Clinton an e-mail from the festival, so right now, anything's possible!

Fortunately, all the Radio 1 DJs have made it to the festival, so tune in over the next couple of days for lots of live music and backstage banter from Glasto 2000. And if you're wondering what the weather's like right now, we're pleased to report that the mud has almost dried up. We've had sun all day, so roll on Saturday and Sunday!

Check out what's been going on at the festival so far...
