Ollie p - Manchester
Lots of nice tracks but the mix didnt do anything,i didnt get it there was no journey to the mix, sorry!
Joey P, Luton, Beds
I'm ranking this is amoung my top 5 EM of this year. James, this was top quality, groovy, deep, and funky in the right places. The Alan Fitzpatrick ‘Reflections’ as a finisher was the icing on the cake for me. Well done mate!
R.Hecht, Ljubljana
Ok, not so bad. But can we have also someone from the non-compromised techno tradition, please. Like: The Advent, Surgeon, Mills, Joey Beltram, James Ruskin, Luke Slater or any other like them
David Soul, Cardiff
So good to see James get this mix. We first had him up to play our night in Aberystwyth something like 5yrs ago when he was still learning his trade at college. It was clear to us then he was going to go far. Great mix and props to the guy for all his hard work! :-)
Daniel from falmouth
James Talk did a tech edged progressive mix that was deep and futuristic king unique john00fleming or especially slacker deserve and essential mix.
Kris, Windsor
After last weeks shocker, the EM comes back with a corker. Mr Talk has put together a great mix. This is what I want to hear, the music of now that is loved all over the world, not something thats popular for 5 minutes in the midlands.
ade, basingstoke
more like this - now get jim rivers, jamie mchugh and neil quigley and showcase the next wave of british talent
Damien from Paris
very good mix James !and thanks to you pete tong for this date each saturday night.
skuz, Melbourne Australia
This is gold!!! Exciting, fresh, well structured. Personally one of my favourite essential mixes of the year.

Franklin from India
Pretty decent mix need some more energy and sm better tune selection
Cheers from NYC
By FAR, the BEST Essential Mix in a VERY LONG time. Way to go JAMES! Love from NYC...!
Duane, Amsterdam
Decent tech set, but rather flat and monotonous towards the end. Friendly Fires still set of the year for me, despite Greg Wilson's stormer. How about a Davis and May, or a Guy J set in the next coupla weeks?
Jon Philly
I am 53 minutes into this and already its rockin'... Awesome!
KennyDope from Toronto
Proper Mix!!
Jack - Manchester
Sunshyne is a big big tune!!Great mix - definately a contender for best of the year!
Flukeforce, London
HEAAAVY (especially Gavin Herlihy ‘A Tension Release’ )! Best EM since Gui Boratto and Dubfire. Everyone's "Talking" about James... excuse the pun.
Adrian warsaw

Not really my cup of tea, bit too bleepy throughout, but there is no denying that this is an expertly put together mix with a nice flow. Massive improvement on last week....
Fawad, Hereford
Great mix. Anyone knows the name of track at 1:44 please?
James, England
Yes this is more like it after last weeks wayward choice! James Talk has got my toes a tappin' like mad!Get in son!
Sir John Finkface Tash Head - i love crazy cousinz
All i have to say to this is Love it!!1
DAn, Chester
As Bruce Forsythe used to say every week on Play Your Cards Right - So much better than last week! Dan the Man is a grooving and a moving in his Chester living room with his very own Dolly Dealer listening to the sounds of James Talk! Loved the Mullholland Drive bit at the start - Wish Crazy Cousinz had done that last week i.e Silencio!!
Dance Guys, Birmingham
Well, he's British and "local" and we LOVE this mix from him. So far for 'not supporting locals' eh :PKeep it up EM, loved it :)
Justin Peoples, San Francisco
Brilliant Mix mate I enjoyed every minute of it. Please keep good progressive music on here, no mainstream music like last week.
chuyp chihuahua mexico
this is really a great mix, more like this pete thanks!
andy, london
very boring - this isn't underground house, jamie jones will show him how it's done!
Octavian, Houston
WOW, what a laidback EM. Deep, funky, energetic. Perfect for bigrooms.
Alex from Toronto Ont Canada

Andrew G, Los Angeles
Light years better than last week but wasn't as good as Sharam's or Greg Wilson. Got boring at times but also had some good highlights.. 8/10

Now this is beautiful music. I reckon with the resurgence of house music Mr Talk is going to be a household name soon enough, great mix!Regarding the Crazy Cousins, Im sure these fellas work hard at their respective venues to get a crowd movin (I know what its like). Unfortunately as we all know the general public cant get into anything over 120 bpm unless a rap/R&B/reggae vox is slapped over the top and these guys are doin just that. I dont think they deserve all the bashing on this board but this is called "The Essential Mix" and the reputation has been built with mixes like James Talk. This is what its all about, correct? (ps its what I live for please dont change it).
brian tampa bay usa

And we're back, absolutely bang on. Props to you Mr Talk.
Ann, Australia
not one of the best, despite what everyone else has said i found the mix quite dull. Its not a bad mix to listen to, but not one that i found you could really get into and enjoy. Wouldnt listen to it a second time
Steve,Rossendale
Great mix, loved it...but........Greg Wilsons is gonna take some beating!
benny, glasgow
i dont get this guy - one minute he makes cheezy pop covers next he's trying to be cool, 6 tracks in this mix be the same guy (dave robertson aka reset robot) this mix is average at best!

simonh bath uk
love it. saw this dude couple of years ago, he rocked but his flow was flawed - all hype and no substance, well im glad to say thats not the case at all now. good mix james! a beginning, middle and end with punctuation to enhance the flow. even if you prefer uk funky (!) you cant fault the technical ability of this growing talent. onward and upward young man! must be something in the water down southampton way, first zabiela, now talk....
Dj Claude Minkey Hereford
Great little mix, quite bouncy,a lot of big tunes,Keep em comming Radio 1 !
keat, msia

mpc - sydney
Essential Mix needs more (james)TALK and less (crazy cousinzzzzzzz) action! Please keep proper forward thinking electronica coming our way and not dated commercial 'uk funky' that doesn't have a following outside of London! Yes RADIO 1 there really is a world outside of London!
me, here, usa
linear, progressive, alive, hot, bouncy, head bob, ass shake, foot tap, dance floor shuffle. This mix has a life of its own. Very, very solid.

Heyyy, the beginning of the mix is the scene from the David Lynch's movie "Mulholland drive"! My favourite ! Excellent & Very intelligent!
are you listening
well? guess you must be the next months EMs are of a much better standard! people power vs commercialism? who wins? you deeside!! lol
Antonio, Bergamo (Italy)
Excellent! Very good playlist! Trendy mix! Many thanks, James Talk!
Joe, London
Inspired choice of DJ this week; long overdue in my opinion. After last weeks dismal reflection of what electronic music has to offer in 2009, this is truly up there as a candidate for the coveted Essential Mix of the Year.
Simon, Cardiff
Very good mix from Mr Talk. I am big fan of his work, especially Sunshyne with Ridney.
lynne south east wales
My god! James Talk HAS to be the best mix ever. There are no words in the English language that can do it the justice it so rightly deserves. Amazing stuff.
Sergey from Russia
