The Chris Moyles ShowWeekdays 06:30-10:00 Chris Moyles

Radio 1's Longest Show Ever, with Chris Moyles and Comedy Dave

On 16th March Chris and Dave will attempt to break the record for the longest show ever broadcast on BBC Radio 1 – and they're doing it for Comic Relief.

The record currently stands at 37 hrs set by Simon Mayo back in 1999 – and the plan is for them to break that.

They don't know if they're going to be able to do it – or even at this stage how they're going to do it - but they're going to give it a try.

Chris and Dave will be broadcasting as usual from 0630 on the Wednesday morning and when 10am comes, they will just keep going. Each of the other Radio 1 DJs who are normally on air will come in and help them present their shows, and support Chris and Dave throughout.

This means The Chris Moyles Show could have a Live Lounge, do the Official Chart Update and simulcast with Mistajam on BBC Radio 1Xtra, all in one day!

And on top of all that, you'll be able to see the WHOLE thing on your TV via the BBC Red Button and online right here.

It's going to be hard – on everyone. The team will be around to help – but it won't be easy. It's worth doing though as we'll be doing it for Comic Relief (and not because we want to break Mayo's record or anything).

Keep listening, as we'll announce more details on-air as we get closer to the big day.
