"How many other places can you go to, where the first thing you see when you come out of that unreal hedonistic world of the club, is the beach and the sea? "

David Morton: "Radio 1 is coming to the clubbing mecca of the South East. Fantastic!

There are so many good things about clubbing in Brighton, which range from the very eclectic mix of people, the wide variety of music choices available, the fact that the promoters of clubs are willing to showcase new and different nights. Plus! all the best clubs are right on the seafront, at beach level. How many other places can you go to, where the first thing you see, when you come out of that unreal hedonistic world, (the inside of a club), is the beach and the sea?

Radio 1 will undoubtedly get a mighty welcome from all the clubs participating and without doubt, Friday 31st October will go down as one of the best night's of Brighton clubbing (if not the best), this year. Within a quarter mile stretch of seafront, to have Pete Tong, Basement Jaxx, Fatboy Slim, Westwood, Lottie and Fergie all appearing on the same night is going to be awesome. Looking forward to it!"

Mark: "For excellent music, head to the sea front (known as The Arches). If you're on a drinking session, or on the pull - stick to West Street (The big hill that leads to the sea front). The Honey Club - (Arches) 'Uplifting, Bouncey (yet hard) and Stylistic'. This is my favourite club in the city. A mix of ages, races and sexualities provide a no-attitude environment for nights of excellent entertainment and music. The club actively promotes cyber, sparkly, fluffy and fun clothing - so be warned, you may be eaten by fluffy boots or dazzled by luminous legs. Fire shows, angle grinding, stilt walking, light shows with light sabres are regular shows. These performances warm up the atmosphere for the DJ's to set you ablaze. The resident DJ's work you up and down with sexy electro house beats and the big name guests blow you away. If you're a fan of Hard House, try Hard South or Stormin Sundazed. For an all round house night, go to 7 sins (Saturday's).

Mark Whale: At The Beach - (Arches) there's 'Deep and Fun'. The first Friday of every month brings you Bedrock from John Digweed and guests. This is the deeper form of house music taking you to a greater level of transcendence. If this isn't your style, head there on a Saturday night. Saturdays provide tunes across the eras where you can bounce, grind or dance like the crazy fool that you are. The Beach is the most diverse club in terms of the tunes played from night to night so I can't generalize about the atmosphere. But if there's one piece of advice I can give when at The Beach, it would be 'Stick to the lasers, they're safe as F#ck'

The Concorde 2 - Far out on the Seafront 'Flamboyant' This is really a gigging event, as it's spacious and open plan. However, more than enough atmosphere is provided regularly by Fat Boy Slim (Brighton Hero), Lisa Lashes and the fluffiness that is the Pussy Cat Club and regular sets from Mr Scruff and Dave Clarke (what a man). Fluffy, fun, sexy and smiley sums up this venue. It's a fair old walk along the seafront though so make sure you take a coat, or get a taxi.

The Funky Buddha Lounge - (Arches) 'Close Atmosphere' As the name suggests, this place freshens you up with the funkier tunes all night long. It's a small club that provides an exclusive yet close-knit environment for everybody to boogie the night away. I guess what I really mean is that there's no room to dance and that the bar is reassuringly expensive.

Oh, and as for those clubs on West Street, they are Creation and the Event. They are cheesy, youthful and Boozy clubs. I won't knock 'em though coz everyone's got to learn to handle their drink and start the clubbing journey somewhere. Enjoy Yourselves, Mark. X"
