The Outdoor Stage has been a part of Radio 1's Big Weekend since Preston in 2007. Over the last three years some of the world's biggest DJs have hit the decks alongside your favourite Radio 1 and 1Xtra DJs doing what they do best - playing massive tunes! The stage has also witnessed many DJ soundclashes like Westwood vs Moyles and Pete Tong Vs Vernon Kay.
