Proving that electronic post rock is alive and kicking in the UK, we present Gallops. Springing from Wrexham, North Wales at the tail end of 2007, Mark Huckridge (guitar) and Paul Maurice (laptops) formed Gallops purely as a recreational venture, initially. But once drummer David Morait and second guitarist Brad Whyte joined, things started to get more serious.
Bethan Elfyn played their first demo track, Crutches, on her BBC Introducing show in Wales on Radio 1. Bethan also invited the band in more recently to record a four track session in March 2009, and picked the band to appear at Radio 1's Big Weekend this year.
If you're into dark, heavy, innovative acts like And So I Watched You From Afar and 65 Days of Static, Gallops are right up your street.
