Introduction

After making a big splash at the BBC Introducing showcase at last year's South By South West, Florence and the Machine won a Brit Award and performed in the Live Lounge for Jo Whiley. With a uniquely skewed take on blues and folk, this beguiling band is a delight.

Florence performed twice at Radio 1's Big Weekend 2009: a full set on the In New Music We Trust stage and an intimate acoustic show for her old friends in the BBC Introducing tent.

      Unfortunately I missed Florence the first time round, but luckily I managed to catch her in the introducing tent performing acoustic. She was A-MAZ-ING!! Totally fallen in love with her mezmorising voice, and her slightly crackers personality! Her new album Lungs is def on my wishlist!!!!!
