BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend - 9th-10th May Lydiard Park Swindon

Line up / The Enemy

Introduction

After their triumphant performance on Main Stage in 2008, the rabble rousing Coventry heroes return to Big Weekend. On their MySpace blog the band announced that their new album Music For The People was recorded entirely on tape so it "sounds huge, like a proper old school rock record". Moyles is a massive fan and you should be too.

My brother in law with me yesterday never knew anything about them before, but said they were the best band all day. I must agree.

The new album lacks originality both lyrically and musically.
It's really no surprise they're freefalling though the charts.
      Their days are numbered!!

the charts are no reflection on the quality of music, just the quality of promotion, publicity and marketing. they are still the best band i have seen live, and although similarities can be drawn with other bands give the album a few listens and it takes on a refreshing depth - not like youll be bothered tho rocky. ah well your loss

If average means epic and probably the best set of the weekend then maybe you've got astonishing standards. Perhaps Led Zepplin are okish in your book.
