Radio 1's Big Weekend Big Golden Ticket competition

If you haven't already registered I'm afraid it's now too late for this year's event.

If you registered and opted to take part, you may be invited to take part in this exciting competition in various programmes between 7am and 7pm each day from Saturday 3 May till Friday 9 May. Presenters will warn people on-air they may be called - so keep your phone on and don't ignore calls from withheld numbers when they do!

We will use a new list of potential contestants, drawn randomly from all those who have registered in the main ticket ballot, every time we run the competition. People will then be called by a member of Radio 1's production staff and asked 3 questions off-air to test their knowledge of Radio 1 and Radio 1's Big Weekend, as well as questions about their hobbies and interests to discover whether they will make a lively and interesting contestant. Two contestants will then compete for the prize on-air.

Everyone who registered to take part in the competition will stand an equal chance of being selected - no matter where they live in the UK.
