Fringe Logo

Radio 1 will be showcasing bands from Maidstone and Kent as part of Radio 1's Big Weekend - The Fringe Festival. The Fringe will celebrate the local music scene, from guitar bands through to bedroom DJs, MCs and everything in between.

An amazing line-up of artists have been selected by the Fringe Festival panel. The panel is made up of Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens, BBC Kent Introducing presenters James Bursey and Tom Kirkby, the Radio 1 Live events team and Radio 1 producers.

On the Tuesday night, BBC Kent Introducing have chosen their favourite bands to play at The Loft as part of the Fringe Festival. Huw Stephens will choose his two favourite bands to play on the BBC Introducing stage at Radio 1's Big Weekend. And even though the line-up is now finalised, you can still add your band to our MySpace page
