The Radio 1 in weekend in Ayia Napa is over, but the season has only really started... Just before we packed up our bags, we thought we'd ask some of the Ayia Napa regulars what's been their favourite memory on the trip home?

The Radio 1 Rhythm Nation night at Pzazz. We had a little VIP bit behind the decks. All the Radio 1 staff, artists who were on the island, record industry people, everyone was dancing with each other, then changing partners. It was a mad scene, you had to be there. It was just nice to see a lot of uptight people let off a bit.

I'll never forget one summer, sitting at the Nissi beach bar. We were there from midday until 11 at night, cracking jokes with my friends, drinking, playing football games, chasing each other round the beach. That was one of my best days ever. In my life, not just in Ayia Napa. It was the way the day just drifted, and before you knew it, it was dark. Then someone said 'do you realise that everyone's gone home!'.
That was a great day, and it was nice on the plane, reminiscing, thinking another good summer, lots of people entertained, and we got to meet a lot of people who support us. When you're working away like this, you get a chance to mix with people, say hello, and put a bit back, as they say.

Usually by the time you get on that plane, you're just looking forward to your own bed, so I'd say going home isn't a bad thing - there's always next year!

Last year, when Radio 1 did the party at Pzazz. When we went live to air, the screams and shouts, the amount of noise that people made was unbelievable. There was a constant high-pitched din for about three minutes, It made my hair stand on end, on the back of my neck. When I let off the record, it was drowned out by the people, and I thought - wow!

The live link-up with Pzazz for Radio 1 last year was unbelievable. It's still stuck in my mind now. The noise was incredible, it just blew up! Every year I go to Ayia Napa I buy 3/4 pairs of sunglasses. I have a fetish for sunglasses, and perfume and aftershave as well.

I really enjoyed it in Ayia Napa last year, we'd done the gig and we really didn't think it was gonna be that busy 'cos we'd been told that garage really rules out there. But we had a lot of people in our gig and we were really surprised and we had a really good time at the party. I thought it was enjoyable, the people there were really friendly, the locals were nice and it was really hot, so I've got good memories and I'm definately looking forward to going back.
