The Dreem Teem @ Macronissos Beach

Midday on Sunday, Ayia Napa time, just a few hours after playing a storming Dreem Teem Presents show at Club Abyss and Spoony, Mikee B and Timmi Magic are entertaining the beach massive at Macronissos. With guest PA's from Backyard Dog, Mis-teeq and Ms. Dynamite, plus Wookie dropping in for a chat, this show definitely looked set to top last year's from Nissi Beach. But how did The Dreem Teem shape up?
"We love our jobs!" The Dreem Teem kick off their second annual beach show from Ayia Napa, this time hosting their own all-day beach party, with Pied Piper and the Masters Of Ceremonies - 'Do You Really Like It?' With the wine in the cooler and the wind blowing in from the sea, The Dreem Teem wrapped up the final date of their four week tour in the sun. This sure beats the basement studios back at Radio 1!
Too much energy for this time in the morning! Backyard Dog bring their mad Mancunian music to Napa, performing 'Baddest Ruffest'. The boys also picked the Hangover Cure tune on the show, Artful Dodger - 'Think About Me'

Second performance of the day came from Misteeq - well, when Spoony would let go of them so they could go onstage. Performing 'All I Want' and 'Why?', they definitely had the boys at the front of the stage begging for more. Hosting their own private party on Sunday night, the Mis-teeq girls certainly brought some glamour to the Radio 1 Napa weekend!

Good Places To Hang Out: Club Abyss last night. After last night, I feel alright, but my voice has gone. I've got a deep voice anyway, but it's growling today! It's a reflection of what I did last night. Black and White was brilliant with Rampage, and Insomnia.
How many times have you been to Ayia Napa?
To tell the truth, I've been coming out to Ayia Napa for about ten years. First time I came out was in 1991.
How has it changed since then?
It's changed a lot. All this stuff wasn't really here before, and Larnaca was the place to be then. Ayia Napa was good, but there wasn't a lot of English people there, mainly Swedes, Germans and a mixture of Europeans. There was a lot of house music, which was still good, but me and my mates prefered Larnaca. We used to go to Stringfellows in Larnaca! P'zazz used to be there to.
What are you up to at the moment?
I'm just doing a lot of live shows. I was in Denmark last Thursday and am doing Norway next Thursday, plus Italy and Spain sometime next month. I've got the Reading and Leeds festivals, and The Essential Festival as well - all live shows.
Favourite Dreem Teemer: It would have to be Spoony, because I went to school with him. He's the only one I allow to really cuss my nose!
Best Way To Cool Down After The Beach: Some water and a good sleep, man

Tips for Looking Good On The Beach: You've got to wear combats and look like you're not wanting it. You've sooo got to get your breasts out!

Final performance of the day was the big one that everyone had been waiting for - the underground garage tune of the year, 'Booo!', performed by Ms. Dynamite, rounding off the show. Her MCing was so hot, it prompted Spoony and the boys to join in with a little on-stage grinding. Off-air after the show, you couldn't get Spoony off the mic! Keep working on those MC skills Spoons, you're not quite there yet!
