Why is the beginning of a programme sometimes cut off?

The recording of Listen Again programmes is done automatically on the basis of their scheduled broadcast times. On the rare occasion that a live radio broadcast were to start early for any reason, the recording process would not have started yet, and hence the first minute or would not be captured.

This may also occur if you have previously listened to only part of the programme on the BBC Player. When you return to a programme, you should see a message which asks whether you would like to resume listening from where you stopped previously or start from the begining. Click 'OK' to resume, or 'Cancel' to start the programme again.

Alternatively, to ensure all programmes play from the beginning, you could delete the BBC cookie from your web browser. For advice on deleting cookies please see the help files on your computer.

If this does not answer your question sufficiently you may find more help on the pages linked to from the right hand side.
