Help / Player

Why are some radio shows not available on the player?

The BBC launched the original Radio Player service in June 2002 with a selection of specialist shows. We have since expanded the service to include the majority of radio programmes within the BBC player . The further expansion of this service is dependent on infrastructural changes.

At the moment, some local BBC radio stations are not able to make the entirety of their schedule available for the full seven days, due to technical limitations. Consequently, some daily programmes are overwritten by the following day's edition, or may not be available on demand at all. We apologise for any inconvenience.
