Why can't I get any audio on some radio channels on Freeview?
It could be that we have moved where we broadcast the radio signal from and your digital TV hasn’t picked this up. You can fix this easily by doing the following:
Find and select the ‘Set Up’ menu or button on your Digital TV remote control.
Select ‘DVB Scanning’ from the Set Up menu, using the arrow and OK/Select buttons.
You may get an alert or warning message asking if you wish to go ahead. Press ‘OK’ or ‘Select’ to go ahead.
Your Digital TV will now start rescanning. This will take approximately 3 minutes. Please wait whilst this completes.
Once complete you can continue using your TV as normal.
If this does not resolve the problem, please contact BBC Reception Advice
During digital switchover (the ongoing switch from analogue broadcasting to digital which is due to complete in 2012) the channel numbers for radio stations will change. Some listeners will have to re-scan their set top boxes to find the new channel numbers for radio stations.
If this does not answer your question sufficiently you may find more help on the pages linked to from the right hand side.
