Can RealPlayer be installed on a Mac?

If you are using a version of the Mac operating system prior to Mac OS X, check the Real Legacy Software Archive for a version of RealPlayer which suits your machine These versions are free, but are no longer supported by Real.

Tips for Mac users

Some Mac OS X users have reported they are unable to hear anything even though the BBC iPlayer appears to be playing normally. If this occurs, you could try opening and closing Apple GarageBand, as some users have informed us this can solve the problem.
