Can I listen to BBC digital radio services outside the UK?
You cannot listen to the BBC DAB services outside the UK on a DAB digital radio but it is possible to listen to nearly all BBC radio programmes online - either live or up to seven days after broadcast by using the BBC iPlayer.
There are also an increasing number of WiFi radios (also referred to as 'internet radios') available which offer the convenience of access to streamed radio services without having to log on to a computer.
WiFi radios are dependant on the availability of a wireless broadband. The BBC's iPlayer is free to access but usage may be subject to charges made by the internet service provider, so it is advisable to check prior to use.
It's useful also to be aware that on some occasions BBC programmes are subject to rights restrictions which prevent programmes being made available online internationally. Details of programmes affected are normally available in advance via the relevant radio station's website.
