Help / Player

Can I listen to the Player when abroad?

Yes, you can use the BBC Player to listen to BBC Radio when abroad. As long as the computer you are using has RealPlayer correctly installed, you should be able to listen live and Listen Again normally, just as you can in the UK. Depending on the radio station you are attempting to play, you may also be able to listen live in Windows Media Audio format.

However, please note that we occasionally have to restrict access to some programmes to UK users only for rights reasons. For instance, we only have the rights to broadcast certain sporting events in the UK - not worldwide. These include Premiership football matches and Formula One Grand Prix. So you can listen on BBC Radio 5 Live on 909 & 693AM and on digital radio or digital TV, but not over the internet because this can be accessed across the globe. We apologise for any inconvenience.

If this does not answer your question sufficiently you may find more help on the pages linked to from the right hand side.
