Help / Player

Why do I get a "Decompression failed" error message when I try to install RealPlayer?

When you try to install RealPlayer, a "decompression failed" error message may appear if you have antivirus software installed on your computer.

To prevent this error message appearing, you may need to temporarily disable your antivirus software before installing RealPlayer.

Important: While your antivirus software is disabled, you will not be protected against possible virus attacks. Please remember to re-enable your antivirus software after successfully installing RealPlayer.
