Can I download BBC radio programmes to listen to later?

You can download a wide range of BBC radio programmes or highlights from radio programmes. These are available to download individually from bbc.co.uk, or you can subscribe to a podcast to get the latest episodes delivered automatically to you computer.

You can see the current range of programmes and highlights available to download at bbc.co.uk/podcasts, or look out for the green Podcast buttons on programme pages.

These radio downloads are available for 7 days after the programme was broadcast, but once you have saved a download you can keep it for as long as you like, and can also transfer it onto a range of portable devices (including iPods).

Why can't I download radio programmes in BBC iPlayer?

Unfortunately, it is not yet possible to download all radio programmes for rights reasons. Certain types of content, including full track music, can only be offered with Digital Rights Management protection (“DRM”), and we don’t yet have permission from the BBC Trust to offer radio content with DRM.
