Help / Player / RealPlayer

Can RealPlayer be installed on Windows XP 64 or Vista 64?

Unfortunately, Real Networks are yet to release to a version of RealPlayer which supports 64 bit operating systems like Windows XP 64 and Vista 64. If you are currently using a 64 bit operating system, you will not be able to Listen Again using the BBC Player at this time. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience.

Rest assured, the BBC is discussing this with Real.

We are also currently assessing new ways to distribute audio-visual material across the internet. We have initiated a number of trials and we are planning a new technical infrastructure which in the future will increase flexibility of our output.

UK users with 64 bit operating systems should still be able to listen live to all of our national and digital-only stations in Windows Media Audio format. Find out more here.

If this does not answer your question sufficiently you may find more help on the pages linked to from the right hand side.
