Oven gloves were on for 'Bake a Difference'
This year, The Blue Peter Appeal asked people to 'Bake a Difference' by running bake sales to raise money for BBC Children in Need.
To dispel the myth, bake sales are not just about baking cakes! There are so many things you could bake - traditional or untraditional! If you've got a sweet tooth you can bake some brownies, cookies or scones. If you prefer something savoury, why not try pizzas, pies and pasties! Yum yum! It always helps if you're enthusiastic about what you're selling but remember not to eat it all before your customers arrive!
When organising a bake sale, try and create a range of goodies for everyone to enjoy - a gluten-free choice for celiacs and a sugar-free choice for diabetics! Make sure you label everything you're selling. You can be as creative as you like with the names... 'Felicity's Fab Fairycakes', 'Pudsey Bear Cookies' or go for the Halloween theme and give all your treats a spooky name such as 'Vampire Sponge Cake'!
Find all your cooking essentials - Pudsey cookie cutters, cake moulds, cake cases, oven gloves, aprons and cake stands - online or go to one of our partner stores in the high street.
For recipe ideas, print and make your own Bake a Difference Cook Book. Blue Peter released new recipes every week so you can try one of those.

For future bake sales, you can advertise your stand with Bake Sale Posters and decorate your activity using BBC Children in Need bunting, balloons, car stickers or window spots. You can also deck yourself out in BBC Children in Need t-shirts, badges, wrist bands, lanyards, Pudsey and Blush ears.
There's still time to send an email to bluepeter@bbc.co.uk to let them know how many items you sold in your bake sale, but don't forget to pay in all the money you raised!
You can also send the money you raised to the following address:
