Projects needing your help in Wales
Valleys Kids
Children in Need funds projects of all sizes across the country. Rhod Gilbert paid a visit to a single converted flat in the Pen Dinas estate near Tonypandy, where a very small drop-in centre is having a huge impact on the lives of the young people who live there.
Daffodils
For parents of children with disabilities, the caring can take a huge mental and physical toll. Children in Need funds the DAFFODILS project in Flintshire which organises special activities and excursions for disabled youngsters, as well as their families. Connie Fisher met one family who see Daffodils as a real lifeline.
MENCAP
The money you give to Children in Need provides a lifeline for thousands of disabled young people across Wales. But their disabilities are not always obvious, and can be hidden from society. Colin Jackson met one young man with autism who is being given the best possible start.
African Community Centre
There are a growing number of children and young people who come to Wales to escape war, unrest and economic collapse in their home countries. To help them integrate into society, Children in Need funds the African Community Centre in Swansea, providing a safe haven, free from fear. Torchwood star Eve Myles went home to Swansea to find out more.
