Pudsey's grant round goes green!
For the first time ever, BBC Children in Need had a 100% online grant application round meaning that projects wishing to apply for a grant, could do so online and no paper applications were accepted.
It has been a long process and a lot of work and research has been done by the team to ensure that applicants would find the process easy and user friendly. This means that there is a huge reduction in the amount of paper received into the office and it makes the process easier for applicants, the team here at BBC Children in Need and the assessors who review the applications to help decide which projects will receive funding.
The deadline for applicants was 15 January and now the team are busy processing applications. However, if you run a project which aims to help improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in the UK, and you have missed the deadline, fear not! We now have four grant rounds each year. This means that applicants don't have to wait as long until the next grant round and applications will be spread more evenly throughout the year. The deadlines are as follows:
- 15 January
- 15 April
- 15 July
- 15 October
Please see our grants section to find out more about how you can apply for a grant or how our new process works.
To find out how your money has helped children and young people this year, please check back in April when we will announce those projects receiving grants from the latest application round. In the meantime, you can find out who has benefited from your tremendous support in the past by taking a look at our who you've helped section.
