Chartjackers attack the charts
Hijack of the music charts reaches a crucial stage this weekend - the You Tube cool boys Johnny, Jimmy, Charlie and Alex have until midnight Saturday to get to number one!
Collectively named the Chartjackers these four lads have summoned a following with their ambitious music project for BBC Children in Need 2009. In just ten weeks they have produced a potential number one single and music video using nothing but the pulling power of the internet.
Written, choreographed, recorded and performed by artists sourced online the catchy single 'I've got nothing' has utilised internet music production and is all set to be a fantastic fundraiser for BBC Children in Need. All their exploits have been followed and documented by BBC Switch and the lads own You Tube offerings.
The single is available to download from iTunes on 9 November. Every download means more money for BBC Children in Need 2009 so get clicking and let this cheery little number brighten your day.
You can catch up with The Chartjackers' progress on BBC Two this Saturday, 14 November at 1.10pm, as part of the BBC Switch strand of programmes.
It's the final week of the boys' quest - will they make it to number one?
This week's show also features Charlie and Johnny visiting the Keynsham and Disctict Mencap Society Saturday Club - a project funded by BBC Children in Need.
You can also follow the journey of the single, on YouTube and the BBC Chartjackers pages.
