Adopt a Duck for Pudsey!

On September 6 2009, thousands of ducks will be launched into the water near Hampton Court Palace to raise moeny for charity. The Great British Duck Race is in its third year and aims to beat its own world record of 175,000 ducks bobbing along the Thames all at once.

There will be a whopping £10,000 first place prize for the duck that crosses the line first, as well as 30 great runner up prizes! There'll be plenty of entertainment and a special celebrity guest will be opening the lock gates on the day.

You can now adopt ducks for the race and donate money to BBC Children in Need, the more ducks you adopt, the more chance you have of winning and the more money comes to the BBC Children in Need Appeal. Also, if you adopt a duck online, there's a monthly prize of £300 from now until Duck Day in September, so adopt your duck today and help Pudsey's ducks win The Great British Duck Race!
