BBC Children in Need Emergency Essentials

Pudsey bear

The Emergency Essentials Programme provides struggling families with items that meet children’s most basic needs such as a bed to sleep in or a cooker to give them a hot meal.

Emergency Essentials grants are additional to our general grants programmes, and are administered by Buttle UK, who are able to reach families living with extreme deprivation through their network of frontline partner agencies.

In response to increased demand for essential goods from families in dire need, BBC Children in Need has increased its spend to £2 million up to October 2012.
