30 simple fundraising ideas

To celebrate our 30th Appeal and Sir Terry's 30th Appeal, we have come up with 30 ways to fundraise or help contribute to the BBC Children in Need Appeal.


1. Make 30 things with a Pudsey bandana
2. Hold a cake sale using our yummy Pudsey recipes
3. Have a dance-off with your friends and charge people to watch and vote
4. Take a picture of your home and hold a 'guess whose house it is' competition, charging people to enter and guess. Get hold of a Pudsey prize to give away too!
5. Burn off the cake calories by doing a sponsored bike ride/walk/run. Get help on how to make the most of sponsored activity.
6. If you're a chatterbox, keep silent all day and see if people will pay you to do so!
7. Get with the Bear and do a sponsored day in the life of a bear
8. Guess the baby competition with photos of your work colleagues as babies
9. Go traditional and bathe in a bath of beans
10. Or go new millennium and bathe in a bath of cous cous!
11. Offer to walk the neighbours dogs and cats and give the money you earn to BBC Children in Need
12. Wash the whole street's cars to raise money
13. Get creative and make some cross stitch Pudsey's to sell!
14. Have a bake-off to see who can make the best Pudsey cake
15. Have a dance-a-thon with your friends to see if you can dance all day taking it turns!
16. Run a marathon or relay race on the spot! Use an exercise bike or running machine then you don't have to leave the comfort of your house or gym!
17. Have a pyjama party with your friends and charge them to come along
18. Have a fancy dress competition
19. Get your mates together for a five-a-side tournament, invite friends and family and charge everyone to watch!
20. Hold a car boot sale and give the proceeds to Pudsey
21. Hold a face painting session and turn everyone into Pudsey!
22. Fine all your colleagues for swearing or using silly lingo at work using our penalties box
23. Hold a music concert and charge everyone to come along
24. Have a fashion show and even theme it- retro fashion, bear fashion, spotty fashion!
25. Have a children's colouring competition at your nursery using our colour in Pudsey and Blush
26. Have a jelly race- whoever keeps their jelly on their spoon the longest wins!
27. Get your boss to donate a day's salary and get him/her to answer the phones all day or do the filing
28. See how many keepy uppys you can do and get your friends and family to sponsor you
29. Have a karaoke evening and get people to pay to join in
30. Do a sponsored wellie throw (in a big field!)
