BBC Children in Need Auctions 2009


Every year there are lots of opportunities to bid on exciting memorabilia, experiences, packages and celebrity items from tuning in or logging on to different auctions across the BBC. This year is no exception as we have our official online auction once more, Radio 2 have their fantastic week of Pudsey fun with Sir Terry Wogan's 'Things Money Can't Buy' auction on his breakfast show and Chris Evans 'Drivetime Dine & Disco' auction. Of course we also have the fabulous Around the World in 80 Days auction which has now been running for a few weeks and is continuing to raise lots of money for disadvantgaed children and young people across the UK.

The Stig

Pudsey has been busy rubbing shoulders with the big and beautiful of the showbiz world for this year's official auction and has got his paws on some incredible items. From a lap around the Top Gear circuit with The Stig, a signed sparkly Ricky Groves jacket as worn on Strictly Come Dancing, two Pudsey designer dresses made exclusively for Tess Daly and Alesha Dixon to some very cute cuddly bears signed by showbiz celebrities and everything in between. There is something there to tempt you all!

BBC Radio 2 Auctions

Sir Terry Wogan will once again be hosting his auction of 'Things Money Can't Buy', starting Monday 16 November on his breakfast show between 08.00 and 09.00. As always, the team have lined up a whole host of incredible once-in-a-lifetime experiences you could bid on to help the TOGmeister raise another huge sum for BBC Children in Need.

Each morning there'll be another handful of auction lots up for grabs from a "Cruise With The Stars” to "A Makeover With Gok Wan” to "A Flight With The Vulcan & The Blades Aerobatic Team”

To bid, you'll need to call 0500 22 11 22, and so you know what to expect, take a look at the auction lots up for grabs.

Another favourite auction in the Radio 2 camp is Chris Evan's Drivetime auction which also has some great lots to bid on, including: a day with Chris playing golf and the chance to drive his 7 Ferrari's!
