Now in its twelfth year, the prestigious BBC Proms Inspire Young Composers' Competition gives young composers aged 12-18 a chance to get their music heard by a wider audience.
Enter your own, original piece of music - no more than five minutes long - to the BBC Proms judging panel. The winning compositions are performed by the Aurora Orchestra at the Young Composers' Concert during the BBC Proms season and broadcast on BBC Radio 3.
If you win, you'll also receive a commission to be performed and recorded at future 2010 Inspire events, and you'll get to work with top composers and musicians in a series of workshops to develop your commission. Last year's winners were commissioned to write for the Last Night of the Proms! Who knows where your commission will take you?
There are no restrictions on the type of music you can enter - whatever your style and inspiration, we want to hear it! The only condition is that it has to be written down, as someone else will perform it if you get to the final.
Anyone who enters the Young Composers' Competition or attends a lab can attend Inspire Day, a day of workshops that will challenge and inspire you to compose in ways you'd never thought of, in London on 2 August 2010. You'll also receive free tickets to the evening's Prom.
