Family Music Intro - events for all the family

Families are always welcome at the BBC Proms, with half-price tickets for under-16s available for all concerts (except the Last Night).

Family Music Intro

Family Music Intro offers a family-friendly series within the Proms Plus events at the Royal College of Music. Taking place before seven specially selected Proms across the season, your introduction to the BBC Proms starts with a free Family Music Intro workshop, introducing the concert's music in an interactive and fun way. Bring along an instrument if you want to play along with the workshop musicians, or just sit back and watch! You'll get a taster of the music you'll hear later on in the main concert by playing or hearing some of the tunes. Workshops are specially designed for children aged 7-plus and their families.

Your day continues at the world-famous BBC Proms, and whether it's Stravinsky or Tchaikovsky, piano music or great singers that sparks your interest, one thing's certain - by the time you take your seat in the magnificent Royal Albert Hall, you'll know a lot more than you did when you arrived for Family Music Intro!
