BBC Proms - 17 July - 12 September 2009 - The World's Greatest Classical Music Festival

How to Book / Promming Tickets

Promming Tickets

What is Promming?

The popular tradition of Promming is central to the unique and informal atmosphere of the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall.

Day Prommers

Up to 1,400 standing places are available at each Proms concert. The traditionally low prices allow you to enjoy world-class concerts for just £5.00 each (or even less with a Season Ticket or Weekend Promming Pass).
There are two standing areas: the Arena, located directly in front of the stage, and the Gallery, running round the top of the Hall. All spaces are unreserved.

Over 500 Arena and Gallery tickets (priced £5.00) go on sale 30 minutes before doors open. These tickets cannot be booked in advance, so even if all seats have been sold, you always have a good chance of getting in (though early queuing is advisable for the more popular concerts). You must buy your ticket in person, and must pay by cash.

Wheelchair-users who wish to Prom (Gallery only) should queue in the same way but will be redirected to Door 8 once their ticket is purchased.

Day tickets are available (for cash only) at Door 11 (Arena) and Door 10 (Gallery), not at the Box Office. If you are in doubt about where to go, Royal Albert Hall stewards will point you in the right direction.

Weekend Promming Pass

Beat the queues at the weekend and save money with the Weekend Promming Pass.

In addition to discounted tickets, the Weekend Promming Pass offers guaranteed access up to 10 minutes before start-time to the Arena or Gallery standing areas for all concerts in the Royal Albert Hall on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays (excluding Proms 21, 23, 74, 75 and 76).

Proms Chamber Music - Cadogan Hall

These tickets can only be bought at Cadogan Hall. They must be purchased in person and with cash only, and are limited to two tickets per transaction.

£30.00 PCM series pass: Hear seven Proms Chamber Concerts for just £30.00, with guaranteed access to the Side Gallery until 12:50pm (after which PCM Series Pass-holders may be asked to join the day queue). PCM concerts on Saturday 29, Sunday 30 and Monday 31 August are excluded from this offer.

New Generation Artists 10th-Anniversary Weekend Day Tickets: Buy four tickets for the price of three: Day Tickets for Side Gallery (bench) seats will be available for just £15.00 from 9.00am on each day of the NGA 10th-Anniversary Weekend (Saturday 29, Sunday 30 and Monday 31 August).
