This family are nesting in a garden contained within the Ynis-hir reserve. The nest is in a ‪Lonicera nitida‬, a broadleaf evergreen member of the honeysuckle family.

The nest itself is fairly typical - weaved into the shrub and padded with mosses and the location is nothing surprising, in that chaffinches are not fussy about their nesting location - one reason why they are such a common bird.
