Royal Oak London Underground station theft

On Saturday the 29th of June at 00:25 whilst travelling through Royal Oak London Underground Station, the victim, who was a lone female in her 60s, was approached by the suspect and asked if she had any money to give him so he could get a tube.

The victim reached into her bag to get the suspect some coins and the suspect grabbed at the victim’s mobile phone and Oyster card. He pushed the victim causing her to fall to the floor and then made off.

East Putney London Underground Assault

Date and time of offence: Wednesday 15 May 2013 between 23:50 and 00:00

Location: London Underground, between Fulham Broadway and East Putney stations

The victim entered Fulham Broadway London Underground station and boarded a District Line train towards Wimbledon.

During the journey a group of around 5 men boarded the train and one of them assaulted the victim. He was then followed off the train and assaulted again at East Putney station before the group ran off towards Upper Richmond Road.

The victim received facial injuries and bruising to his body.

Crouch Hill Station Cash Robbery

During the incident, a man who arrived on a bicycle, approached a guard as he walked along platform one. As he got close enough to him, the man snatched the box from the guard and left the station.

Police say the guard was left shaken following the incident, but uninjured. They are keen to speak to anyone who was at the station at the time and witnessed the incident, or who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time.

Leeds Bag Theft

Date and time of offence: Around 16:40, Tuesday 25 June 2013

Location: External seating area of JD Wetherspoons inside Leeds City Railway Station.

Police service: British Transport Police

A 49 year old from Leeds was sat at a table outside Wetherspoons pub in Leeds station, with her handbag at her feet. A woman came and sat behind the victim and moved her handbag away with her foot.

As soon as she moved the bag, a man walked by and picked it up. Both the man and woman, who police believe may have been accompanied by a second woman who was acting as a lookout, then quickly left the station together.

Bus Driver Assault

Date of offence: 16/04/2013

Location: Barlby Road, London, W10.

Police service: Metropolitan Police

The driver was driving a route 70 bus along Barlby Road, London, W10 6AR when he saw the suspect riding a bicycle on his left side.

He overtook the suspect and pulled into the bus stop. The bus was busy with school children. The suspect then passed the bus, stopped in front of it, turned around in the road and rode up to the driver’s side window.

The driver asked ‘what’s the problem?’ and the suspect who appeared angry stood up on his bicycle and then punched the driver in the right eye, before making off.
