Born in Nanchang, Siheng began her operatic studies at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music with Zhou Kiaoyan.

In 2002 she moved to Germany and began further training at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart where she was a student of Wayne A Long.

Winner of the first prize at the 2000 Budapest Vocal Competition and the China Art Song Competition also in 2000, her performances have included Juliette Roméo et Juliette, in Kiev, Ludwigshafen and Budapest.

Siheng's hobbies include going to the cinema, sport, chamber music and reading.
