What happened?

West Mercia Police is investigating a burglary at a home in Weston Under Penyard.

The home was broken into between 09:30 on Monday 7 July and 09:30 on Monday 14 July.

A wooden cup/challis, known as the Nanteos cup, has been reported as stolen from the home. It is a dark wood cup and was kept in a green velvet bag.

The cup was once thought to be the Holy Grail but it has since been proved it was made 1,500 years after the crucifixion.

Anyone with any information about the burglary is asked to dial 101 and ask to speak to West Mercia Police quoting incident number 288-a-220714.
