Kara Tointon was only the second actress to win Strictly; she was partnered with debutant Artem Chigvintsev – who became the third professional to win the competition in their first year on the show.

What's wonderful about you is that you have such musicality when you dance. It's truly wonderful to watch.
Len Goodman

Although she failed to receive a mark of 40 throughout the series, Kara was a consistent performer, scoring the highest mark for eight out of the 13 dance styles displayed on the show.

Kara played Dawn Swann in EastEnders and has appeared in Pygmalion in the West End with Rupert Everett. Prior to appearing on Strictly, Kara won a Sport Relief edition of Strictly Come Dancing with her partner Mark Ramprakash.
