Meic Pierce

Actor: Gareth Lewis

Mae Michael John Pierce wedi rhedeg sawl busnes llwyddiannus gan gynnwys y caffi , y Deri a’r garej. Mae'n un o berchnogion y cwmni tacsi lleol hefyd ac yn hanu’n wreiddiol o Ynys Môn.

Bu Meic yn briod ag Anita am flynyddoedd, sy'n fam i'w fab, Darren. Cafodd Anita berthynas gyda Colin tu ôl i gefn Meic ac er iddo ef ag Anita geisio adfer eu perthynas, ar ôl holl ymdrechion Meic i faddau, penderfynodd bod hyn yn ormod iddo. Gwerthodd Anita a Meic y Deri a bellach maent wedi ysgaru.

Mae gan Meic fab arall gyda’i wraig gyntaf, Nansi Furlong, o’r enw Kevin. Er i’r ddau ohonynt roi Kevin i ffwrdd i gael ei fabwysiadu, daeth Kevin i chwilio amdanynt pan dyfodd i fyny. Mae Kevin bellach wedi ymgartrefu yng Nghwmderi ac yn rhedeg y caffi ac mae gan Meic siâr yn y busnes hwnnw hefyd.

Ffotograffydd newyddiadurol oedd Meic pan gyrhaeddodd y cwm o Lundain ym 1975. Ond doedd e ddim yn y cwm am hir cyn iddo ddwyn arian o’r swyddfa bost a chael ei anfon i’r carchar am ei drosedd.

Roedd ganddo enw o fod yn dipyn o dderyn yn ei ddydd er nad oedd gan y merched gymaint o ddiddordeb yn Meic ag oedd gan Meic ynddyn nhw! Bron iddo briodi Meira cyfnither Denzil, ond chwalodd y berthynas ar ôl i’r ddau gydfyw am gyfnod. Cafodd Meic berthynas ddofn gydag Olwen ac roedd dros ei ben â’i glustiau mewn cariad gydag hi a bu’n siom enfawr pan ddychwelodd hi at ei gŵr.

Bu’n rhedeg y caffi am flynyddoedd a chafodd lawer o sbort yno. Bu’n rhannu’r fflat lan lofft gyda chymeriadau megis Edgar Sutton a Derek. Roedd hefyd yn ffrindiau mynwesol gyda Denzil a theimlodd golled enfawr pan fu farw ei ffrind.

Mae Meic yn gallu bod yn flin pan mae’n cael ei hambygio gan ei gyn-wragedd ond mae’n gefnogol iawn o’i deulu ac yn daid da i Wil bach.

Meic Pierce (English)

Michael John Pierce has run many a successful business, including the cafe, Y Deri and the garage. He’s now part-owner of the local taxi firm and is originally from Anglesey.

Meic was married to Anita , who is mother to his son, Darren, for years, but Anita had an affair with Colin and although they tried to make their marriage work, the trust between them was gone. They decided to sell the Deri and move on, which left them divorced and lacking a little direction.

Meic has another son with Nansi Furlong, called Kevin who runs the café. Kevin was originally put up for adoption but he decided to go looking for his birth parents when he was old enough.

As well as having a head for business, Meic was a journalistic photographer for years when he first arrived in Cwmderi from London. But he didn’t stay for long as he was jailed for stealing money from the post office.

Once released, he returned to the valley where he developed a reputation for being a character and a ladies man, unfortunately, the ladies weren’t as interested in him! He nearly married Meira, Denzil’s cousin but that fell through, as did his relationship with Olwen.

Meic can get quite irritated when harassed by his ex-wives but is supportive of his family and a good grandfather to Wil.
