Karen Hardy

Dancer, choreographer, coach, lecturer, Strictly champ - Karen Hardy's got the credentials to give us the inside scoop!

She's back for another series to impart her wisdom! Former Strictly champ and legend of Latin, Karen Hardy, is a firm fixture on the It Takes Two sofa, and she'll be giving us her insight each week.

It doesn’t matter how famous you are, dance just exposes all your emotions
Karen Hardy

Karen's been dancing since she was just five years old, and now stands as the former World Masters, United Kingdom, International and British National Champion of Latin American dance.

International coach, lecturer and adjudicator, Karen has also choreographed for So You Think You Can Dance as well as many of the popular group dances on Strictly Come Dancing.

Coming out of a seven-year retirement from competitions to begin her Strictly Come Dancing journey in 2005, it didn't take long for Karen to lift the Glitterball Trophy, winning the 2006 series with cricketer Mark Ramprakash.

Karen left the show in 2008 to set up her own dance studio, but remains a key part of the Strictly family, taking on the live alternative commentary on the BBC Red Button in 2011, and more recently, gracing the It Takes Two sofa to give us her unique insight.

Karen will be joining Zoe each Tuesday for Karen's Choreography Corner.
