All manner of collectables, the quirkier the better!

Claire’s first step into an antiques career was a steep learning curve. She did every job needed in a busy auction house: unpacking, sorting, laying out the saleroom, cataloguing, clerking the sales, and even typing up catalogues.

Claire’s first step into an antiques career was a steep learning curve.

As her interest in all things antique grew, she took things further and managed to get a job working for Sotheby's at their salerooms in Torquay. As an assistant in the Collectors Department, Claire’s love of all things quirky and mechanical really kicked in, valuing everything from cigarette cards to postcards, coins, clocks, and toys – plenty of Flog It! favourites among them!

Claire now manages auction houses in Taunton and Somerset where she regularly heads up specialist collectors sales, as well as regular antiques and fine art sales. When she’s not on the rostrum, she’s there with Flog It! digging out the best collectables all over the UK.
